A Few Photos of Life Lately
Is it just me or did July fly by?! I am having the hardest time believing it’s already August! I guess it’s true when they say that time flies when you are having fun! Luckily summer is not over yet. I have a busy month ahead and a lot to look forward to! You can follow me on Instagram for updates! As for July, we went to Lake Tahoe for a wedding and then did some local travel to a river a few hours away, and a day trip to a beach up North. Here are a few pics from life lately…
Before our friend’s wedding in Lake Tahoe, we had a chance to explore the area. We rented bikes in Tahoe City and road along the Truckee River. There is an amazing scenic bike path that I highly recommend taking if you are ever in the area. It is gorgeous. On the way back, we stopped to enjoy the view :)
The wedding itself was so beautiful. It was a 30′s themed wedding which made it extra fun. The wedding was held at Squaw Valley and the ceremony was held at the top of the mountain. Talk about a gorgeous view! It was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen. It was such as treat to celebrate the lovely couple (who are clearly made for each other!) at this special place. Congrats to K and M!! xoxo
This was my first themed wedding and it was so fun dressing up in ways that we normally would not. I loved seeing what everyone had come up with. I had a really hard time finding an authentic 30′s dress (the ones I found were damaged or too fragile to wear on a mountain), instead I found a 30′s inspired dress at a thrift store. It was the perfect dress for the location and a lucky find!
On our last day in Tahoe, we hung out by the lake. I finally got to try standup paddleboarding. It was so much fun. I can’t wait to go again, I’m hooked! The above bikini top is by Dkoko. I have some exciting news regrading Dkoko, read more about that below..
When we got back, we went straight to the beach! It was a little overcast, but still a fun beach day!
Next up: River Adventure! A week or so later, we spent the day exploring, relaxing, swimming, and floating in a river a few hours away. This is one of my favorite places to go! We used to go every year, but last year we never made it, so it was extra fun this time around. Especially since Alaia is now old enough enjoy it too! (see below pic for proof and a laugh! Silly girl!)
So regarding my little announcement.. I’ve mentioned a few times how much I love swimwear, especially bikinis, like the one above by Dkoko swimwear. Well, I am super excited because I will be doing a Q&A with the designer of Dkoko for my blog! I can’t wait to share more about this swimwear brand with you, so make sure to check back next week for the interview!!
Hope you all had a fabulous July! Did you do anything fun? Share in the comments section!
